Free camping in Ntl forests, but will be a hike after the shows. Bear creek is closest, but is first come, though you may be able to reserve the yurts. The staff there tolerates but does not think to highly of the RR campers. Chatfield is 10 min down the highway.

Weather, probably 70s-80s during the day, low of 40, r it could be snowing.

I can't come down, it's plain to see.
I can't come down, I've been set free.

My wife and I are going! Looking forward to meeting new friends and kindred spirits. We are staying at the Residence Inn and this is our first trip to Red Rocks. Coming all the way from Jax, FL.

I've got you on the list now! There's a ton of Forum folks staying at the Residence Inn and the Courtyard Inn next to it. It's my first Red Rocks trip, and a number of others, as well. Looking forward to meeting you and your wife out there!

Thank you for the warm welcome SunshineSue. We are really excited about meeting all of you as well. How many people are travelling from out of state for the shows?

We have GA tix for Friday but I have not bought Saturday tickets yet. I'm searching for those now.

I think we are coming in on Thursday.

Im curious ticket wise. Ive heard people say its a mad dash for where every you want to sit. No matter where your ticket is for you can sit wherever. Is there any truth to this?

Seating at Red Rocks is a complete mess (IMO). If you have reserved seats, you can still sit in the GA section, However, if you are in someone's reserved seat, you will be asked to move if/when they show up. Reserved seats is the worst idea ever at Red Rocks.

Hey Dan -

Check out Chatfield State Park. We stayed there in 2010 for the Furthur shows and loved it. Showers, laundry etc and super chill.

The last two years they have played here has been in the high 80's ('10), + low 80's (last year). A total crap shoot month. It can still push 100, or it has been known to get 18" of snow ('85). Bring shorts for the days; a sweatshirt, + a shell for the nights. Don't forget the shades, + the sunblock though.

I agree. 2-23 is ga. 24- 60 is reserved. 61-69 is ga.
