Can't speak for all, but I'll try to explain why I get reserved seats: once you attain "a certain age", you don't want to deal with all the helter-skelter that goes with GA seating....the spreading of blankets and saving of entire sections of rows. Not that there's anything wrong with it per se, I just don't have the energy anymore to deal with some of the people (not many, but there are an obnoxious few) that get very territorial. Instead, I go for the first few rows of reserved. Fortunate enough for this run at RR to be in row 28 Friday night, 25 Saturday night, and 26 on Sunday.
Also, I work till late afternoon and cannot possibly get to RR when the gates open up...therefore, there is no way I would ever be able to get into the first 24 rows anyway. Just my $0.02.
