Saw Bobby this past Saturday in Westbury NY - what a treat! He absolutely played his ass off. Not sure how he has the stamina but holy shit - a total gift and honor to be in attendance! Going to Portland for round 2 tomorrow - thanks Bobby!

i am not trying to hijack the thread or put any negativity toward it, because i too would like to thank bobby, from the bottom of my heart. to come out for these little shows is great. it was a special intimate experience i've never enjoyed until last fri.
however, i 'll be completely honest with my take. i saw the wilkes-barre show, it had moments of excellence, and i mean excellence, but also just as many moments where it plain stunk. he has trouble keeping time even with that little pad he taps for the bass drum effect. also, there seemed to be a lot more little, subtle flubs, things a lot of people may not even pick up on. at times i truly felt like i was watching a rehearsal. it's obvious he has spent time getting the repertoire together and the songs sounding right for the most part, but it didn't sound like it was ready to be on the road. maybe i caught the bum night, i don't think so, because some of it was fantastic, and i heard a lot of not so good stuff about k-ville and c-ville.
i hope he continues doing this if it tickles his fancy, and i would definitely be inclined to see another show, except i probably wouldn't drive 5 hours again for it.who else is gonna bring you, a broken arrow?-

The acoustic format is definitely an evolving thing. This is something Bobby's never done in almost 50 years of professional music. Even when he appeared as a duo with Garcia or Rob Wasserman he was essentially just playing rhythm. That's why these shows are so cool. And lets face it, the Dead have never been shy about experimenting in public."Got any nails?"

I saw the Pittsfield show and loved every minute. Yes he misplace some words, maybe missed a chord or two, but it was a great opportunity to see him in this setting. I'm hoping that this may in fact be a 'warm-up' for a nice little tour with Bruce Hornsby. Definitely worth the 2.5 hr drive-

I hear ya on Bobby missing a chord or forgetting the lyrics at times but.....that's Bobby. He'll mix up the lyrics to Uncle Johns and then completely nail a long ass Dylan song. According to the band, he's been that way since day 1 but...who cares?? Look at the beautiful songs and moments he's given us over the years! I love his dedication and actually enjoy those "Bobby moments". For some reason or another, people have been quick to critisize Bobby over the years but he always gives it his all and I appreciate every moment!! General admission tomorrow, should be some dancing going on!!-

its GA tomorow but there are seats right? .. no standing room only? .... thats how it looks by the seating chart and stuff.
there are mistakes which of course are more noticable but overall I'd say I'm pretty impressed with his 1 man show.-

I wish he would bring te show out here to te PNW, I think the joy of much of what the Dead family of music is is akin to performance art, good bad and Inbetween is as all live art is. That is the joy of it. I think when things are off it allows a glimpse into the artist as a person, albeit painful in a way when one is paying for the view. But I think most of us and I hear you recognize this that what Bob iis doing is just that, I like what all of them are doing, Phil, Mickey, Bob, and even other like Bruce that I saw this past fall. Playing mixing it up, trying to keep it fresh for themselves and hence us also.
Pretty cool he is putting it out there with just him and the audience, even with all his years I think it shows a lot of what he likes to do.
Just my thoughts
