Re: Jazz Fest Couch Tour Weekend - Live Bruce!!

That's kind of a problem I've found with younger acts. They have the talent but they don't understand how to develop material or how to really put across a song.

I was wondering if she writes her own material. There have been some great lyrics. She's got such great stage presence, too!

She's young. Hopefully she'll be allowed to grow.

This sounds good, too. Still, Sunday's line up looks like the best of the weekend, with Bonnie, funky Meters, Nevilles, acoustic Buffett. But I guess I shouldn't write off the acts I haven't heard of, that's half the fun.

At least half the fun! Bonnie and the Meters caught my eye too.

These guys sound good, but then with Dr. John along for the ride, how could they not?!

I've got to check out that new album he made with the Black Keys.

The music is great, even Zac Brown isn't so bad. The car, though is not fun. It's the fuel pump, and it's going to be (along with a couple minor maintenance things) about $1200.
But I'm not ready to go down to one car yet, and we're not going to get anything better for that amount. It's only got 75,000 miles on it, as an '02, so our trusty mechanic assures me we get can get a few more years out of it, hopefully. I hate cars!!

<<<<<CARS>>>>>>>

necessary evil for most of us.

with two kids driving (well now one, but we won't get into the license suspension) the car bills and insurance killed me this year.

I'm pissed I missed Hornsby. Digging Rodrigo...although I think Gabriella is getting lost in the mix.

That's it, a necessary evil. And there isn't any public transportation near me, so it has to be a car. I don't envy you that kid driver premium on the car insurance, I've heard horror stories about those costs!

Loved Grace. She does write most of her own material, and has an amazing stage presence. She's definitely been getting better.
