Wow ! CRB is smoking hot good, wished I had known how sweet it was and I would have planned a mini run with him. This vehical is a perfect fit for his blues soul. His band is very tight, lead was truly remarkable, man could he play. Also the "keyboard wizard" was just that..... Magical. I heard the first couple notes of they love each other and gave a couple of whoo's and he gave me a wink and a smile. As for his new material, it has a really cool sound and i am loving it. If you get a chance to see this do! I know a lot of reviews are positive and end in a "go see this show" but I sincerely say that FFF needs to see this!

Now off to figure out how to do more of these dates

They are playing Denver the same day Furthur is at MCU. Ahhh well..

Saw them for the second time this past weekend in Chicago. Great show. They are getting better and better. Well worth checking out.

I had forgotten how much I liked Chris Robinson until Red Rocks last year when he sat in with Furthur.

I had seen the Black Crowes many a time (even before they were called The Black Crowes ) and also liked New Earth Mud (another Chris Robinson incarnation). Saw the reunited Crowes again in 2005 but after that, Chris sort of fell off of my musical radar. After the 2011 Red Rocks apperance, I saw the Brotherhood a few times. Much mellower than the old Chris Robinson stuff but it seems to suit him and was grooving.

I think he has definite on and off nights - the good nights can be really good but the off nights are just that -- off.

i am loving the Brotherhood. got to see about 14 shows in 2011 since they mostly played in California. Neal Casal is awesome, as is the whole band. Muddy on bass and George on drums really drive that band nicely. CRB is branching out geographically and not playing as many California dates, but i'll get to see a couple of shows in July. if you haven't seen the Brotherhood go check them out.
