Jim Allard...New DSO Bassist

#265964 1 year, 2 months ago
Went to the RMGDR last Friday. Great time. Never saw so many kids under 18 at a show in my life. Passing the torch. Jim Allard will now be the bassist (interim?) for DSO. He definitely brings more to the table in my opinion. Just in time for the three upcoming shows this weekend in Colorado. Have a great summer, one + all. Toodleoo.

Roger that. I have never bore witness to more electrical storms, + festively colored skies in my life. One strike left a teal semi circle from the ground up that lasted for about three seconds. Freakin' weird. Than my friends car got damaged from a branch from the residual of a lightining strike. That being said, missed the last two shows. I thought the rapture was near. How were the mudslides DM?

Did you make it to the Mish?

Right as the concert was starting the sky became a very weird color like you mention. Then the clouds were swirling around, I thought for sure a tornado was coming. Then wind whipped up and it rained for about 5 minutes and that was it. Gorgeous night after that.

DSO was amazing, I love when they do an original set the best and what a set it was. I wish I could find a video of Jim Allard's UC. And I agree that Mattson is a total beast.

Ok then we leave, about a mile east there starts to be leaves on the highway and then sticks and then branches and then full trees. Then we hit a stretch where there was shin deep hail and then a waist deep some mudslide. We were right behind the plows that were pushing the mud of the highway. So lucky we did not get trapped up there. The Mish must have angels protecting it!

I was. They did UC at the review on the 21st. I don't think they had ever done that before. I guess while I was at the show Boulder was lit up, + flashing with awe inspiring electrical storms, + a litany of colors to accessorize it. We also got marble sized hail for about a half hour. Quite the light show from the Wyoming border, to about Higlands Ranch from what it sounded like. Toodleoo.
