Review your \"Dave\'s Picks Vol.8\"

#293943 11 months, 2 weeks ago
[b]In 1980 the Grateful Dead\'s circus came to Atlanta\'s FOX Theater twice.

The first time on April 29, 1980. This was the 2nd show of what became a typical East Coast Tour for the band thru-out the eighties. They started in Birmingham and shot up past NC and Hampton, PA to NY State, New England with the last show at Long Island\'s Nassau Coliseum.

This show on Nov.30, 1980 was the final show of a 4 show run in Fla. and GA. only. 30 days after all of the Warfield and Radio City shows the band hit Miami Beach for some R&R and played 4 shows in the deep south:

11/26/80 (Wed) The Sportatorium - Pembroke Pines, FL

11/28/80 (Fri) Lakeland Civic Center - Lakeland, FL

11/29/80 (Sat) University of Florida - Alligator Alley Gym - Gainesville, FL

11/30/80 (Sun) Fox Theatre - Atlanta, GA
Set 1:
Feel Like A Stranger
Loser, Cassidy
Ramble On Rose
Little Red Rooster
Bird Song
Me & My Uncle >
Big River
It Must Have Been The Roses
Lost Sailor >
Saint Of Circumstance >
Deal

Set 2: Scarlet Begonias >
Fire On The Mountain >
Samson & Delilah >
Ship of Fools >
Playing In The Band >
Drums >
The Wheel >
China Doll >
Around and Around >
Johnny B. Goode
- encore -
Uncle John\'s Band

I just received this show and will start digesting it. Judging from the reviews I saw on
www.dead.net/show/november-30-1980
this will be a popular, sought after disc.

Im all set to listen to this the Saturday after Thanksgiving. 33 year anniversary
I went walkin' out last summer
Tryin' to find a breath of air
I went walkin' on the mountain
A friend had told me I'd find you there
