Just got home from the Phillies game. Setlist looks tremendous. Knew we'd get Dark star for Friday the 13th. So... Any complaints? Anyone feel this was a "flat" show?

how 'bout those Mets !!
Actually the reason I went down tonight was specifically to watch R A Dickey pitch. It fascinates me that a relatively young guy is specializing in the knuckle ball. Certainly worked tonight. Only the really experienced hitters, like Rollins and Thome, were able to handlke it. Dickey seemed to have perfect placement too, at least through the sixth inning. I'm a lifelong Phillies fan but I'm also a baseball freak so I have to acknowledge a good performance. And tonight was pretty strong.

14 straight quality starts from R.A. Man I love that guy.He can get his fastball up into the upper 80's and throws his knuckler at like 3 different speeds
Another fine performance. Loved the Most of the Time. I was surprised how many people I had to inform as to what song that was. This must have been the first time Bob has ever played it no? Note to self: only buy tickets in the Loge for future Beacon shows. It's much more comfortable up there.
Awesome that he included Most Of The Time. I really liked that song from the TRI show. Plus, The National guys must be pretty excited that Bob is doing one of their songs.
[quote="Terrapin Sedation" post=146918]He played it with The National on the TRI show....
And he's been playing it on the Bob and Bruce acoustic tour.

Completely different approach than Tim Wakefield. Saw him pitch a couple of years ago up at Fenway. His knuckler's a lot wilder and slower. Pretty effective when his location was on but he gave up a lot of walks and they pulled him in the fourth.
You know, after listening to the first set again, I amend my earlier assessment: Outside of Miracle (which I've seen too many times) and Most of The Time (which didn't really grab me), the first set was awesome.
A 13 minute Box of Rain?!?! WTF!
And a personal note to Bob and Phil: Thank you for the music. Between all of the Grateful Dead and Furthur shows I've seen, I've heard played live every possible song from your repertoire than I ever could have imagined or wanted to hear. And I really appreciate that.
