Review of a Beacon show in The Village Voice. A bit offensive with the multiple "Fake Jerry" references:

The GD and related bands were never treated kindly by music reviewers.


The review has a link to an old (2010) article about the nitrous mafia:

This reads like someone had the writers arm twisted behind their back, forcing this obvious ANTI-DEADHEAD to comment on something that he has nothing but snide, crass remarks for (how many times does he mention their "7 night run"?), reads more like a proclamation of the great job beacon security did in shutting things down.
Thanks for posting, I appreciate perspective from different viewpoints whether I agree or not.

Fake-Jerry, give me a break ! Let me see Village Noise reviewer "Jesse Jarnow ' play the intricate lead guitar riffs as good as John does for us.

the Village Voice is at best a decent free paper. This guys review does nothing to elevate them beyond that status.
