Best of Summer Tour?

#46563 2 years, 8 months ago
Attended Simpsonville (only one I could make) so for me, so far, that's my top.

Listening to Atlanta right now, Raleigh I heard, and St. Augustine.

Anybody listened to enough to start forming a top 3 or 5 yet?

I went to a few shows and thought they were all great. Canandaigua was my favorite though. Phenomenal set list and the guys and gal were putting it all out there for our enjoyment.

I was most impressed with Jeff Chimenti's contribution at all of the shows. There's one Facebook fan page for Jeff with only about 250 members. Think he deserves a bigger fan representation given his latest performances. Join the group if you're so inclined. It hadn't been updated in a long time (since Ratdog days) but there's some new stuff on it now.

Based on what I saw, im thinking they brought it every single show. So pick a setlist that floats your boat and go for it. I don't think you can go wrong. Simpsonville did it for me, but Raleigh is just as good. I've listened to the above mentioned shows and have to say yes yes yes and yes. St aug was good as well but in a trippy jam its getting weird in here sort of way (set 2) which I really like.

I can't make up my mind which show(s) I like best. My problem is I never process
shows I attended until I go home and listen because all shows that I'm actually at are
of course GREAT! When I do start listening I get stuck and listen to the same show over
and over. I am still stuck on GOTV I really like the song selection, it's super energetic.
Hopefully listening to the other shows will get me through to the fall tour

I am so pysched for multiple nights at the same venue

...and I totally agree with Girl 11 ~ Jeff C. totally blows my mind!

I'm just sticking my nose in to say I decided to give the CMAC show a listen cuz I was always so intrigued by the setlist. WHOA ~ the Smokestack Lightening > I Want You is out of this world, actually I can't even think of words to describe it. Must listen!

Gonna keep listening, just had to rave for one sec

Jones Beach was amazing - the 20 minute Dark Star there went perfect but man that Weather Report was something....

can't go without mentioning Bethel and SPAC either, I feel wrong not mentioning Mansfield and Vibes cause they were all so good and special in there own way. I got the only 2 Bust outs this tour - Mission in the Rain - 7/21 Mansfield and Jack-A-Roe from Jones Beach 7/17 - both were Great! Jones Beach had a really nice first set for my likings (not that they all didn't)
